21st May 2008 Windsurfing: Marazion Wind Direction: SE - ish Wind Stength: gusty F3-4 Surf / Sea State: some rampets but relatively fl Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: overcast, then some showers but gen ok Max Speed: Distance Covered: Bit of an afterwork splash'n'dash as I was in the area, and we didn't have an event at Maza this year so it felt the right thing to do !!! Went straight for the Kona 10'5 & 5.8m Poison, and planed for 70-80% of the time. Only me and couple kiters out as probably better beaches around for the direction or just too light wind for most to bother. Felt much better after having a sail, as had crunched some miles 'on tour'. Always cool to visit the SW korner .... and as a bonus ran in to an old 'Run to the Sunner' mate of mine for a cold one afterwards !!! Not hardcore .... but felt great to score a sail at Maza .... no dolphins, but did spot a seal. |
